As another exciting baseball season approaches, your Baseball Booster Board is busy preparing for our teams and players. Below are several important announcements and reminders to help you get ready for the upcoming season.
If you have not already done so, please remember to register for baseball tryouts using FinalForms. This step is essential to ensure your athlete is eligible to participate in the upcoming season.
Continuing a cherished Mercer Island Baseball tradition, we invite all interested players to participate in Captains Workouts and Batting Practice sessions. These will be held every Sunday from January 11 through March 1, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Island Crest Park batting cages. Players will have the opportunity to practice alongside our Senior Captains and sharpen their skills ahead of the season.
Winter workouts and conditioning sessions will take place in the weight room at the High School. Led by Michael Petrie, these sessions provide an excellent opportunity for players to begin conditioning for the season and help prevent injuries. Workouts will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm beginning January 7. Please remember to update your availability on TeamSnap so our captains and coaches can plan accordingly.
We will hold a winter meeting for players to meet with Coach Lawler for final pre-season details and complete uniform sizing on January 8 at 3:15 p.m., at Mercer Island High School, Room 207/209. It is important for all players to try to make this event and get sized for uniforms.
Tryouts for the upcoming season will begin on Monday, March 2 at Island Crest Park. All players interested in joining the team must attend.
Save the date for our annual Auction and Party, scheduled for Saturday, March 14 at the VFW. We look forward to celebrating with our baseball community and supporting our program.
We are always in need of volunteers to help create a memorable season for our players and fans. Opportunities available during the season include:

The Baseball community had the opportunity to give back this holiday season to the Friends of Youth organization. Friends of Youth is a local organization dedicated to supporting children, youth and families experiencing challenges such as homelessness, foster care or difficult home situations. Thank you to our volunteers!
